Whenever a new catalogs debuts, there are a couple of things that I do to prepare myself to use the new in-colors.
Many, many years ago I started my own color wheel. At that time I had my cardstock organized by color (remember the rainbow song,,,”red and yellow and pink and green, purple and orange and blue…I can sing a rainbow…..” ) but it was getting difficult to differentiate the subtle differences in color. So, I inventoried all the colors and created the wheel by trimming a piece to 5.5″ x 4.25.” I write the name in the upper left and then mark when it retired.
They are held together by a jump ring. With the addition of the 2017-19 In-colors, I estimate I’m up to 100 colors or so.
When the uninked Stampin’ Spots debuted in the 2016 catty, I was beyond thrilled. I use them when travelling and they are perfect for the MISTI tool (our regular pads can get ink on the tool’s cover which then gets on my art piece…the spots give me more control). While I had some spots from Paper Pumpkin, I now have a spot in every color!
